Launch Diagnostics have been using KLC for a number of years now for their interior works and their most recent project was the refurbishment of their main washrooms. The washrooms were a little dated and needed modernising as clients were using them when coming to Launch for meetings.
The brief was to create a space that was modern and stylish using good quality materials that would say something about the company when clients came to visit.
The solution was the use of natural large format stone, slate and nutwood with hints of aluminum and chrome. The washrooms were completely stripped back to structural slab and a new metal perforated suspended ceiling was fitted incorporating low energy lighting and directional feature lights. All the walls were tiled with natural travertine and the floors with a R10 non slip slate. The cubicles were specified in nutwood to contrast against the anodized aluminum pilasters. All pipework and cisterns were concealed to give a clean, uncluttered finish. Lastly surface mounted wash hand basins and blade taps mounted on matching nutwood vanity units finished the look.
We staggered the project ensuring one washroom was available at all times. The project was finished within 4 weeks and on time and importantly on budget.
