Raised Access Flooring
Raised access flooring was introduced to allow for the growing demands of power and data requirements in offices. There are a number of raised access flooring systems on the market but they work on the same principle of shared pedestals mounted with square floor pans. The pedestals can be adjusted to allow for uneven subfloors.
Benefits to raised access floors:
- Ideal location to run data and power services
- Even finished floor surface
- Can be pre-surfaced with carpet or vinyl
- Earthed at regular intervals (electrically continuous)
- Pans can be lifted at any time to gain access
- Floor boxes with power & data can be installed anywhere & easily relocated
- Additional outlets can be added at a later date
